Modernising bereavement services with a national digital register

In collaboration with the Scottish Government, ePass has developed and launched a digital platform to modernise how burials and cremations are recorded and managed across Scotland. 

This secure, centralised system simplifies the process for local authorities, crematoria and funeral directors – ensuring data is collected consistently, stored safely and accessible to the right people at the right time. Designed with users in mind, the platform makes compliance with statutory requirements more efficient and less time-consuming. 

Built to national scale, the register streamlines reporting and supports long-term data accuracy and transparency across Scotland’s bereavement services. It also lays the foundation for future integrations and analytics capabilities, helping shape smarter policy and service delivery. 

This development reflects the strength of collaboration between government, industry and the public sector – and the shared goal of delivering digital infrastructure that is respectful, resilient and future-ready.
